THIRST, LLC has designed a systematic way of teaching skills needed for students to learn the essential standards as tested on the statewide assessments. We include pre, post and formative assessments that track student mastery of the standards. The reporting features provide real-time data to continue to make informed data-driven decisions for each student's individualized TAKS preparation plan. These plans address the student's independent learning style and the instructional strategies based on their strengths while focusing on their weaknesses as per the statewide objectives being tested.

During the first year of SES implementation, 57% of all SES participants increased their post-test test score by an average of 25 points. THIRST continues to service a multitude of secondary campuses throughout the greater-Houston area, including public traditional campuses and charter schools. Results of the Student Exit Survey revealed a 90% satisfaction rate of the program, services and tutor provisions provided by THIRST in 2007-2008. Albert Thomas MS in Houston ISD was one of the campuses served by THIRST for SES services and has since exited out of school improvement as of the current 2008-2009 school year. Students and teachers have provided personal testimonies relating to the importance of the FREE services provided by THIRST along with the establishing of positive relationships among the tutors and students.
